Siri AI is open to all developers: what your app can do with App Intents
Any app can now bring its content and actions into Siri AI through a Developer Preview in the iOS 27.3 betas. What Apple announced, what it means for businesses, and a plan to get an integration ready before submissions open in spring.

Siri AI is now open to all developers. On 3 November 2026, Apple released a Developer Preview in the iOS, iPadOS, macOS and visionOS 27.3 betas that lets any app bring its content and actions into Siri AI through App Intents. People can ask in their own words, and Siri AI carries out the actions an app provides, such as checking a delivery, booking a reservation or placing an order.
This article sums up what Apple announced, when it reaches customers, and how we would plan a Siri AI integration for an existing iOS app.
What Apple announced
According to Apple's developer news:
- Any developer can integrate with Siri AI through a new Developer Preview, starting with the 27.3 betas.
- App Intents is the way in. Apps bring their content and actions into Siri AI, which uses personal context understanding, onscreen awareness and natural language.
- Skills let developers teach Siri AI how to combine several actions into a single experience for complex requests.
- Spotlight: Siri AI can now surface any entity in the Spotlight semantic index, not just ones that fit an existing schema.
- Languages: Siri AI is available in many languages, including English, French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese and Spanish, with Traditional Chinese, Norwegian, Turkish and Vietnamese coming soon.
When Siri AI integrations reach customers

Apple describes this as an early preview. The capabilities first ship to customers in a few months, and submission to the App Store opens in the spring, so developers have time to explore and build before launch. Apple also says it will share more details about terms and usage policies for experiences enabled through Siri AI.
What apps can do with Siri AI

The practical change is that customers do not need to open your app and find the right screen. They can ask Siri AI, and the action you built runs. Apple's own examples are checking a delivery, booking a reservation and placing an order. Apple has already rolled out the new capabilities across many of its own apps, including Calendar, Mail, Maps, Messages, Notes, Photos and Reminders, which developers can use as reference.
Why it matters for your business
Apple notes that people around the world are turning to Siri AI to get things done every day, which means more customers can discover and use apps just by asking. For an online store, a booking app or a service with repeat customers, the most common tasks become one sentence away.
It also rewards apps that are well structured. App Intents work best when the app's actions and data are clearly defined. Apps with tangled logic or logic that only lives in the UI need more work first. How to plan a Siri AI integration

- List the tasks customers do most in your app, such as checking an order, rebooking or reordering.
- Pick three to five actions that are short, clear and valuable. Start small.
- Map each action to App Intents, including the inputs it needs, the result it returns and when it should ask for confirmation.
- Build and test on the 27.3 beta with Xcode 27.3, as Apple recommends for the latest SDKs.
- Test real phrases your customers would actually say, in the languages they use.
- Ship when submissions open in spring, and keep an eye on Apple's upcoming terms and usage policies.
These steps are our recommendations from client projects, not part of Apple's announcement. Keep the App Store rules in view as well: from 16 November, new age rating questions are required with each app update.

Frequently asked questions
Can any app integrate with Siri AI?
Yes. Since 3 November 2026, a Developer Preview in the iOS, iPadOS, macOS and visionOS 27.3 betas lets any developer integrate their app with Siri AI. Apps bring their content and actions into Siri AI through App Intents, so people can ask for help in their own words.
When can Siri AI integrations go live on the App Store?
Apple says the capabilities ship to customers in a few months, and App Store submissions open in the spring. The Developer Preview gives developers time to explore and build before launch. Apple will also share more details about terms and usage policies later.
What are skills in Siri AI?
Skills let developers teach Siri AI how to combine several actions into a single experience. They are meant for complex requests where one action is not enough, for example a request that needs several steps in the same app to be completed together.
What do I need to build a Siri AI integration?
You need App Intents that describe your app's actions and content, plus the 27.3 betas and Xcode 27.3 to build and test. Start by choosing three to five common customer tasks, define the inputs and results for each, and test them with real phrases your customers would say.
